Fundraising Projects

All the money we raise will be used to support our partner organizations or as seed money for future fundraisers. No money from fundraisers will be used for overhead expenses, insuring that all profits go to benefit street children and orphans. We are getting ready to make a donation of $1000 to one of our organizational partners.

We are currently selling T-shirts. They cost $10 each. Here is a sampling of what they look like:

Below is a description of other fundraisers we've done.

In the fall of 2008, we bagged groceries for tips at Cub Foods in Bloomington on October 18. We raised $ 723.28! Here are some pictures from our event. You can also see our new T-shirts, which will soon be available as a fundraiser.

Thanks to Cub Foods in Bloomington, Illinois for making this event possible.

n the spring of 2008, we had several fund-raising projects that were created by our fundraising committees in two sections of a Marriage and Family course at Illinois State University. We raised a total of $ 587.45.

One was a dinner night at a local Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches. Jimmy John's agreed to donate 10% of their sandwich sales earned between 6-8pm on April 23, 2008.

We also had an event at The Bead Parlor in Bloomington on April 24, 2008 from 3-8pm. Individuals could make their own jewelry, and The Bead Parlor donated 50% of the proceeds to Global Children Outreach.

We also conducted a bake sale at Illinois State University campus on April 28, 2008 from 12-3pm and April 29, 2008 from 9am-12pm. Students made chocolate-covered pretzels, "puppy chow," brownies, rice crispy squares, and cookies. All products were sold and enjoyed!

Lastly, we had a candy bar sale on May 1, 2008 at Illinois State University campus from 11am-2pm.

We planned on another bake sale and hot dog sale to be held at the local Schnuck's grocery store, but due to bad weather this event had to be cancelled. We look forward to future events at Schuck's.

Thanks to our local community partners and all who supported these events.

In the fall of 2008, we are planning a gala event (to be held in February, 2009), and T-shirt sales. More information on these coming soon!
