Fall semester 2008

We continued to work on raising awareness and programmatic support.

Our web site went live on Sept. 26th!

We designed T-shirts, in collaboration with the Design Streak graphic design class. They are now available for sale. See the fundraising page for more details.

We visited the Children in Global Perspective graduate class at ISU on Oct. 10 to discuss documentaries and films about street children and orphans.

We did "bagging for tips" at Cub Foods in Bloomington, IL, on Oct. 18 from 10-5. The community was very supportive, and we raised $ 723.28!

We put on a program in honor of "Congo Week" at ISU's Global Review on Oct. 23 to raise awareness about street children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Over 30 people attended!

Summer 2008

Finalized the look of our new logo with ISU's student design class, Design Streak

Ordered books, DVDs, computer equipment, and office supplies with grant money provided by Illinois State's Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology

Continued working on this Web site!
